Give Thanks
Once a year, we celebrate a holiday we call
Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving is more closely
associated
in our modern culture with turkey, parades, and that all important
football game. The giving of thanks is a principle that will yield
to us great benefits if we will take the time to put it into
practice in our lives often. This month I simply want to share nine
benefits that will enhance our lives when we practice the giving of
thanks to God.
Giving thanks causes us to
reflect and meditate
Giving thanks will continually
remind us of God’s Goodness
Giving thanks will help direct
our thoughts
Giving thanks will help us to
stay positive and battle negativity
Giving thanks will help us
believe and receive the love of God
Giving thanks will help us to
renew our minds to Truth
Giving thanks will keep us in
faith
Giving thanks will help us to
walk in humility
Giving thanks will help us
retain a proper perspective
A thankful person will always be a grateful person.
Keep your focus on God. Thank Him for all you have. Allow His
Goodness to overwhelm you continually. It’s our choice.
Blessings!
